The Assist Man Brand Identity
Prior to every Golden State Warriors home game two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry takes a routine 40-foot tunnel shot. Just before launching the basketball into the stratosphere, he gets a boost from security guard-turned-assist man Curtis Jones. ‘The Assist Man’ approached me, requesting if I could create a brand identity in his likeness to support charitable causes he cares deeply about. Needless to say, it was a golden opportunity for the greater good.
The Assist Man’s illustration needed to be simple and easily recognizable with a gentle nod to the Golden State Warriors franchise. I ultimately decided on keeping royal blue as a base while introducing navy blue, university gold, and white as details.
