A Wee Makeover
Carlmont High School is driven by the idea that an engaged learning community allows its students to succeed in academia, career, life choices, and athletics. This served as the guiding vision and inspiration behind a new identity system.
Carlmont is more than academic. That’s what makes it interesting, but can also dilute its brand identity. The task was to create clarity around their visual expression.
A new forward-facing Scotsman mark was introduced, Carlmont’s lettermark was redrawn to improve legibility, a typeface based on this lettermark was created to scale across print and digital platforms, and a new color palette was crafted.
Carlmont required a flexible identity system to bring visual alignment across its athletic department. The flexibility of this system was first extended and tailored to its volleyball program.
