Acura Build Your NSX
Creating Acura’s NSX online configurator had to achieve two primary goals: showcase Acura’s legendary halo car, and by extension, the brand; and provide an online customization option. To satisfy each goal without compromising the overall user experience, the configurator lives above the fold with rich product photography and storytelling just below.
For every exterior and interior story, our team engaged in a thorough design study of flow, aesthetic and possibility. In addition to creating the formulaic template of each story, I designed the pages for Interior, Seats, Wheels, Brakes, Exterior Package, Rear Spoiler, Engine Cover, Headliner, and Interior Package.
The curation of site components was influenced by the NSX itself, from its 15-degree angles and lines to its purity of form and minimalism. I designed the angular marquees, UI sliders, photo galleries, and set the typographic tone.
With a highly technical and customizable supercar, it was important to establish a hierarchy of product information to optimize the experience for all devices.
The site was architected with clear user pathing, allowing both Acura’s dealers and diverse customer base to customize and discover information tailored to their specific tastes.
